I saw this beautiful butterfly fluttering around a Lime bush in my garden and quickly captured it with my Canon 60D. ISO 200. f 5.6 and 1/500s

A butterfly commonly seen in the evenings resembling a dried leaf referred to as ‘Common Evening Brown’ (Scientific name – Melanitis Leda) I captured a close up with my Canon 60D when I found this little one resting on my garden table.
This photograph was selected as one of the Highly Commended photos of both the Nature’s Surprises Competition and Close Up Competition conducted by the Society of International Nature and Wildlife Photographers.
This is an orchid of the Catleya family, photographed in my friend Nalini’s garden in Ja-ela Sri Lanka.
